IEC 60884-1 ‘Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes – Part 1: General requirements’ clause 28.1.2 and figure 40

Application:

This device is use for testing resistance to abnormal heat of insulating sleeves of plug pins

Test sample:

Insulating sleeves of plug pins

Feature:

In according with standard requirements, testing resistance to heat and fire of insulating sleeves of plug pins

Parameters:

1. Insulation part: 5 mm thickness, round and flat, diameter equal to twice the maximum permissible dimension of the engagement face of the test sample

2. Metal part B(fixture): brass, length at least 20 mm, provide 3 fixtures for 6A, 10A, 16A plug according to relevant standard

3. Distance between insulation part and metal part: 3±0.2mm, Ensure the air convection around the pin

4. Distance from thermocouple to metal part B: 7±0.5mm

5. Hole for plug pin in metal part B: 0.1 mm larger than the maximum dimensions of the pins

6. Equipped with K-type thermocouple and high precision digital thermo meter
