In order to prevent users from danger after purchasing household electrical products, the hazards include electric shock hazard, heat-related hazard, fire hazard, mechanical hazard, energy-related hazard and radiation hazard. Household electrical appliances need to be tested, and the testing of household appliances includes the selection of test standards and the test content.
The test standards for home appliances include safety test standards for home appliances and EMC test standards.

1. The test content of household appliances includes pre-picking and testing. Pre-picking refers to the inspection of whether the product meets the standard requirements before the test, which mainly includes the following three aspects:
Inspection of product nameplates, signs used, and instruction manuals
Product appearance and internal structure inspection
Certificate inspection of internal parts of the product
2. After the product pre-picking test, carry out the test of safety regulations and EMC (applicable to some household appliances). The safety test mainly includes the following five aspects:
 Input power (or current) test
Thermal (temperature) test for normal operation
Leakage current and hit high voltage test
abnormal test
Heat and flame resistance testing of non-metallic materials
3. EMC test is electromagnetic compatibility test, including electromagnetic field interference size EMI test and anti-interference ability EMS test. EMI testing includes the following two aspects:
RE (radiation, emission) test, CE (conducted interference) test
 Harmonic (harmonic) test, Flicker (flicker) test
4. EMS testing includes the following four aspects:
ESD (Electrostatic) Test, EFT (Transient Pulse Disturbance) Test
DIP (voltage drop) test, CS (conducted immunity) test
RS (radiation immunity) test, Surge (surge lightning strike) test
